Can I amend or cancel an active order on Stake AUS?
Yes, most active orders on Stake AUS can be amended or cancelled.
Limit and Stop Orders: You can amend the price and quantity. However, you cannot change the expiry (e.g. End of Day or Good-Til-Cancelled).
Market Orders (including triggered stop orders): These cannot be amended once placed.
You can’t amend orders during:
Opening Auction (9:59am–10:00am AEST/AEDT)
Closing Auction (4:10pm–4:11pm AEST/AEDT)
Only cancellations are permitted during these auction phases due to ASX rules on maintaining fair price discovery.
Can I amend or cancel an active order on Stake Wall St?
You can usually cancel or amend active orders before they’re executed.
Limit and Stop Orders: Price and share quantity can be amended.
Market Orders: May not be amendable, as they often execute immediately or in part.
To support best execution during the opening auction, some pre-market orders can’t be cancelled after certain cut-off times:
Nasdaq: 9:25am EST/EDT
BATS, IEX: 9:28am EST/EDT
NYSE ARCA, NYSE American: 9:29am EST/EDT
How do I track or cancel active orders?
You can track or cancel your active orders under:
App: Portfolio > Active Orders tab
Web: Click the Active Orders icon (top right)
If an order is partially filled, cancelling it will only stop the unfilled portion. You’ll receive email updates when your order is filled, expired, or cancelled.
