Outgoing portfolio transfer process

To initiate an outgoing share transfer as an industry standard, please contact the incoming broker who will look after the process for you regarding both AUS and Wall St holdings.

AUS Outgoing Share Transfers

Outgoing Share transfers are free with Stake, however, please confirm with the incoming broker if any fees apply on their end. Once we have received the request from our end, our Share Transfer specialist will be able to proceed with the next steps.

Wall St Outgoing Share Transfers

Please fill out the Outgoing Transfer Form and provide the receiving broker with your full 17-digit Stake Account number - please add your 10-digit account number after ‘STKE001’ to obtain your full account number e.g. STKE001STKE000000

• Fractional shares are not supported for outgoing ACATS, DTC/FOP and DRS. Cash transfers are supported via ACATS only - you need to liquidate the fractional component prior to the transfer.
   

Kindly note that we do charge an admin fee for Wall St outgoing requests. Please find the fees below:

Share transfer method	Pricing
Share transfer out to broker via ACATS	US$65 per account
Share transfer out to broker via DTC	US$200 via DTC up to 4 positions. Additional positions are charged at $50 per position.
Share transfer out to transfer agent via DRS	US$200 per position.

 

 

To cover these fees, please ensure you have a sufficient balance in your buying power before commencing the transfer, or it will be rejected. Your new broker may also charge a fee for incoming transfers, so please make sure you’re aware of these in advance.

If an outgoing full portfolio transfer is processed via ACATS, your account will be closed after the share transfer is completed, so it is recommended that you obtain any documents via Stake for your records.
