See how your favourite stocks are doing right from your home screen. Our new watchlist widget lets you track daily performance at a glance. Sort by:
- Biggest movers
- Most up
- Most down
Plus, toggle between watchlists and adjust how you view price changes with ease.
Currently, the widget is available for devices running iOS 17 or later and the Stake app version 5.5.0 or later (unavailable on Android).
Getting started: Installing your Widget
- Update: First, make sure both your Stake app and your iPhone/iPad are updated to the latest available versions.
- Enter edit mode: Tap and hold on an empty area of your home screen until the apps jiggle.
- Add Widget: Tap the “Edit” icon in the top-left corner of your screen and select “Add Widget”.
- Find Stake: Search for or scroll down until you find the Stake widget.
- Choose size: Select one of the three available widget sizes, then tap 'Add Widget'.
Customising your widget
You can customise what your widget shows and how it's sorted.
- Once you’ve installed the widget on your home screen, press and hold the widget.
- Tap “Edit Widget”
- Adjust any of the following options:
- Watchlist: Brings up a list of all custom watchlists you have created in the Stake app. Select your preferred watchlist to be displayed on the widget. If no watchlists appear here, head into the Stake app and create a watchlist under the “Watch” tab.
- Sort by: Select how the stocks in your widget are displayed. ‘Biggest movers’ prioritises the biggest daily movements first, regardless of whether they’re up or down. ‘Most up’ and ‘Most down’ prioritise the biggest daily positive and negative movements, respectively. ‘None’ follows the order of your watchlist in the Stake app.
- Price change: View the daily movement of your stocks by percentage or dollar-value change.
Viewing more than one watchlist widget
While a single widget can only show one watchlist, you can use Apple's 'Widget Stack' feature to view several.
- Add your first Stake widget and set it to the watchlist you want to view.
- Add a second Stake widget and set it to a different watchlist.
- Tap and hold the new widget, then drag it directly on top of the first one. This will create a stack, allowing you to swipe between them.
