Here's how to do it:
- You can withdraw funds from your available Cash Balance (this may be different to your Buying Power). Any recent deposits, transfers, or funds from sell orders must clear first, which can take 2-3 business days
-
Once funds are clear head to the Stake app and go to Manage > Balances > Withdraw, or on the web, click the Wallet icon > Withdraw > Choose from either your available AUD or USD
-
Enter the amount you want to withdraw and select the bank account you want to send it to
-
To add a new account, select 'Edit account' and follow the prompts. The bank account must be in your name
-
You'll see a summary of your request
-
Verify the withdrawal with the PIN sent to your phone or authenticator app
-
Confirm your request.
When will I get my funds?
USD withdrawals typically take 2 - 3 U.S. business days to settle to your external account.
AUD withdrawals will generally settle within 1-2 business days.
Each public holiday (including U.S. for USD withdrawals) will add an additional day.
We can't speed withdrawal times up, as they depend on banking partners and security checks. If it's been over 3 business days and you have questions on the status of your withdrawal the Stake support team can help.
Important Things to Keep in Mind
-
Only one linked bank account: We take account security seriously, so you can only have one bank account linked to your Stake account at a time. This creates a more secure, closed loop for your funds. You can change your linked bank account by removing the old one and adding a new one.
-
Match the name: The name on your linked bank account must match the name on your Stake account. We cannot process withdrawals to third-party accounts.
- AUD only: All withdrawals are sent to your external account in Australian Dollars (AUD).
-
Double-check your details: Always confirm that the bank account information you've entered is correct to avoid delays. Stake is not responsible for any loss of funds due to incorrect details.
-
Extra security measures: For your protection, we may occasionally contact you or request additional information to verify your withdrawal details and prevent fraudulent activity. Keep an eye on your inbox.
-
Processing times can vary: While we provide estimated timeframes, the exact time for funds to arrive in your account can vary based on factors like bank processing times and additional verification checks.
