What is a Securityholder Reference Number (SRN)?
A Securityholder Reference Number (SRN) is used to identify ownership of issuer-sponsored shares – shares bought outside of a trading platform and held directly with a company’s share registry.
In this case, the company and its share registry hold the official record of your ownership, not a broker or platform.
Where can I find my SRN?
If you hold issuer-sponsored shares, you’ll receive an Issuer-Sponsored Holding Statement from the share registry. This document includes your SRN, which is typically 11 characters long and begins with the letter ‘I’.
If you can't locate your SRN, we recommend contacting the company or its share registry directly.
